Scope and content
As a Research Analyst for Belarus and Ukrainian affairs Dr. Ustina Markus collected files related to the latest developments in the Newly Independent States with the main focus on Belarus. Thus this particular series provides information mostly related to the security and military issues in Belarus including armed forces, nuclear energy and security services. There are fewer materials on other aspects of the life of the country although some files on politics, foreign relations, social issues can be found.
Most of the files contain new agency releases, press clippings, analytical materials, including some of the RFE/RL staff members.Accruals Not expected
