Scope and content

The series consists of the set of electronic OMRI publications entitled Russian Regional Report. The publication was launched in August 1996 with the purpose of covering the regional elections in Russia and focused on the local elections around the country. Later it continued to follow the events shaping these regions after the elections were over and provided weekly updates on political and social developments in the 89 regions of the Russian Federation.
It was a weekly supplement to the OMRI Daily Digest and was disseminated electronically via email.
