Scope and content

The series contains press clippings from the Albanian newspapers, media reports, and other sources of information on prominent Albanian political leaders, opposition and dissident politicians, writers, journalists and other prominent Albanian persons. The greatest numbers of the people are politicians that have been active during the period 1945-1996. But casually there are writers of different periods, and prominent scholars in the field of medicine.
The files on Ramiz Alia, Ismail Kadare and Fatos Nano are of particular interest.

System of arrangement

• Arranged alphabetically by names according to the Albanian alphabet. There are two types of arrangement: the first one is composed of personal files and they contain information about the life and activities of one person. The materials in these personal files are arranged according to the chronological order starting from the latest date to the earliest. The second type is composed of common files, which contain information about the life and activities of different prominent people of Albania. In this group, the material is arranged according to the alphabetical order, starting from the first letter of surname of the personalities.
