Scope and content

The Environmental Files comprise information relating to environmental conditions in the Russian Federation and - to a lesser extent - the other countries of the former Soviet Union, environmental movements and state policy on the environment.
Of particular interest are materials relating to pollution problems in the Russian Federation, legal activity in the field of the environment in Russia and public discussions about these topics.
The files contain clippings from the Russian press - both central and regional, news agency releases, Moscow radio and TV monitoring excerpts.
