Scope and content
The series contains press clippings, news agencies releases and some printed materials. It covers important political events from the moment of gaining international recognition in 1992, throughout the war, (siege of Sarajevo, defense of Muslim enclaves of Bihać, Žepa, Goražde, Srebrenica), end of the war (Dayton Peace Agreement of 1995) and the post-war reconstruction and democratization. The political information illustrate the strong links with USA, EU and NATO. Of particular interest are files on Bosnian military and para-military units, but also international forces such as UNPROFOR (United Nation Protection Forces). Other files cover developments in economy, including problems of privatization and production, unemployment and and other related topics. Files on social issues contain information regarding the three main religions in Bosnia on the great number of refugees, war crimes and mass graves. Files on culture and media are also of interest.Accruals Not expected
