Scope and content

The series contains press clippings from Yugoslav and Western press, excerpts of RFE Research, Background and Situation Reports, Yugoslav Press Survey materials, and occasionally other printed materials.

The records comprise extensive information related to agriculture, foreign relations, politics, social issues and culture. Of particular interest are the materials on the communist party of Yugoslavia, opposition and dissidents, trials, and nationality problems in Kosovo.

The series contains some copies of newspapers dated 1943, 1945, 1949, 1955 relating to the above mentioned subjects.
