Scope and content
The records contain news agency releases and excerpts from foreign and Bulgarian press, newspaper clippings, transcripts of the Bulgarian National Radio, abstracts of media reports about Bulgaria, excerpts of RFE Research Reports, copies of articles from scientific publications, transcripts of telephone interviews by a journalist at the Bulgarian Section of RFE.
The records of the Bulgarian Unit provide resources for the study of history of Bulgarian political and cultural life, economics, religions, media and social issues during the Cold War period. Records regarding the problems of ethnic minorities, exile, foreign relations and the communist party of Bulgaria are of particular interest.Accruals Not expected
