Scope and content

The series includes transcripts of broadcasts on important events, commentaries broadcast by the Czechoslovak Radio, Television stations and by CTK (Czechoslovak Press Agency) Information bulletin monitored on a daily base by the Czechoslovak Monitoring Unit of RFE/RL.

Most of the topics are related to the domestic and foreign news and political commentaries and summaries of cultural and social events including the speeches by the country's leaders on different occasions..

Radio Moskva and Radio Vltava (Radio International Berlin) broadcasts were monitored from 18 August 1968 till 28 May 1971 (12 February 1969 ).

Copies of the monitoring are also crosslisted in the subject files.
