Scope and content

This series consists of index cards.

The cards contain the names of approximately five hundred persons and describe the acts (usually against the communist regime) they were convicted for, including the form and extent of their penalties. A great part of these people were sentenced in the period between November 1956-1958 for having been in/directly involved in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.

The data on the cards are based only on official information previously confirmed by either Hungarian or foreign sources.
