Scope and content
The series includes press clippings, news agency releases, RFE/RL research papers and background analyses, transcripts of Polish, Soviet, Albanian and other radio broadcasts, letters, samizdat and émigré publications, and Information Items.
The records offer a broad insight into the postwar history of Poland. They focus on issues of topical interest: domestic and foreign politics, security, opposition to the regime and exile, economy and trade, culture, the environment, and the Churches. The most extensive files are on the Ccommunist Party, foreign relations and religion.
There is an extremely rich coverage of the Solidarity movement as well, including both the official press materials and samizdat documents of the opposition.System of arrangement
