Scope and content

This series consists of transcripts of radio broadcasts, TV programs and news agency releases.

RFE monitored the Romanian radio (mainly news blocs of Radio Bucharest, Programs 1 and 2) and the releases of the national news agency, Agerpres (Rompres after December 1989) on a regular basis. Occasionally, they also monitored and transcribed the Romanian language news programs of Radio Moscow and Radio Beijing.

Beginning with 1991, news programs of the Romanian Television, channels RTV1 and RTV2, were also monitored and transcribed.
