Scope and content

The articles in the Research Bulletin are based in most instances on Soviet press and radio materials screened by Radio Liberty's Central Research Department, with evaluations added by staff analysts. Originally intended for background use by the Radio Liberty broadcasting staff, the Research Bulletin was eventually made available as a courtesy to specialists interested in Soviet affairs.
