Scope and content

The series consists mostly of materials drawn from the bulletins produced by the monitoring unit and filed by subject. Materials from the Ukrainian press, transcripts of radio broadcasts along with news agencies' materials reflect the political, social and cultural life of Ukraine as a republic of the Soviet Union and, after its collapse, as an independent state.
Of particular interest are the records regarding political issues and the country's relationship with Russia and other CIS countries.
