Scope and content

This series consits of newspaper clippings, correspondence, meeting minutes, and publications.

The majority of the files in this series belonged to Yadja Zeltman, IHF's Executive Director between 1991-1993. They cover a wide range of topics primarily related to the activities of the General Secretariat in Vienna and IHF's various governing bodies: meetings, conferences, and symposia. Likewise, there is a good deal of contact-keeping and correspondence with the National Committees and other NGOs worldwide.

One can find a few topical files on various issues of the human rights agenda: prison conditions, immigration, and minorities. An interesting part of this series is the collection of clippings from Western media on the early years of the Russian Federation.

A very small portion of the documents (three files) come from Aaron Rhodes, IHF's present Executive Director, and they deal with regular meetings of various IHF bodies.
