Scope and content

The Executive Office provided general leadership and oversight to all programatic and administrative activities of the foundation. The Executive Director served as a Liaison officer for the Soros network of foundations and affiliated organizations and spearheaded the foundation PR related activities. S/he coordinated the drafting of foundation annual strategies and budgets, issued and enforced a set of internal regulations to ensure the proper functioning of the office, closely monitored the foundation expenditures and reported to the Board of Trustees.
