Scope and content

The series consists of materials produced in preparation of the film, such as studies by János Dávid, Sándor Geskó, Csaba Köncszöl about the massacre in Salgótarján in 1956; dialogue list, photos, media coverage of the documentary "Atonement" (Engesztelő) 1989. Archival press clippings from 1956, film production diary, notes by the director P. Schiffer, trial minutes of the 1956 "Salgótarján trial", archival documents form part of the collection, too.
