Scope and content

The newspaper clippings that Hegedűs felt were worth preserving in different periods of his life are arranged according to subjects.
There are two types of clippings: arranged by subjects and by subjects relating to Hegedűs András.
The subjects also indicate how Hegedűs’ intellectual orientation changed over time. For instance, his interest in the peace movements - as the dates of the clippings show- can be identified from the early 1980s, while he started to focus on ecological problems from the second half of the decade. The most important issues the clippings cover are the following: agrarian problems, peace movements, basic philosophical questions, ecology, the Hungarian economy, political trials (justice and the trial of Imre Nagy), reform, sociological questions, crises in the countries of the Soviet bloc.

A hagyatékiratnak ebben a sorozatában azok az újságkivágások találhatók, melyeket Hegedűs András fontosnak tartott megőrizni. Az újságkivágásokat a fő témák szerint soroltuk be alcsoportokba.
Az egyes témákon belül kétféle újságkivágás található: az egyikben olyan téma szerepel, mely az ő érdeklődésére is számot tartott, a másik pedig rá vonatkozó információt tartalmaz.
Maguk az témakörök Hegedűs András érdeklődésének időbeli változását is tükrözik. Így például a békemozgalmak iránti érdeklődése az újságkivágások dátumát alapul véve a nyolcvanas évek kezdetétől, a környezetvédelem iránt pedig a nyolcvanas évek második felétől nőtt meg. Az témakörök között nagy súllyal szerepelnek az agrárkérdések, a békemozgalmak, a filozófiai alapkérdések, környezetvédelmi kérdések, a magyar gazdaság és a perek (Nagy Imre, igazságszolgáltatás, stb.), a reformok, szociológiai kérdések, valamint a Kárpát-medence és többi szocialista ország válságai.
