Scope and content

This series, comprising five archival boxes, consists of guidelines and training procedures for PHR employees involved in counseling the bereaved from the Bosnian war, and conducting interviews for the Antemortem Database project (AMDB). Also materials for publicity campaigns and community outreach programs explaining the work of the PHR to Bosnians. The Psycho-Social materials were compiled to help PHR staff work with the difficulties and emotional strains of comforting the bereaved. The Community Outreach Strategy manual, reports and leaflets were designed to disseminate project information among the local communities in Bosnia.

The AMDB Interviewer Training Program provided guidelines for the conducting of interviews with the families of the missing. For those involved in the Identification Project there were technical guidelines for obtaining dental records and performing autopsies. There are manuals for using the C.A.P.M.I. computer identification program, and for the AMDB program. Also UN manuals providing guidelines on inquiries into massacres.
