Scope and content

While a university student in 1978, István György Tóth choose the history of the Körmend estate as his dissertation topic. He defended his PhD thesis on the 17th century social history of the Körmend estate in 1983, which was published by the Akadémiai Kiadó (Academic Publisher) as a book under the title "Serfs, heyducks and scribes." Later, he also published numerous articles on Körmend, and on the history of economy, society and civilization of Vas County.
