Scope and content

This series consists of documents on István György Tóth's academic activites, including those relating to his academic travels, conferences and workshops he attended and lectured at, as well as professional resumes and material conncted to his activities in various professional committees.

Under his professional resumes one can find bios and publication and citation lists from various stages of his career; invitations to his book launches and to defenses of his academic degrees and related theses (PhD dissertation, habilitation, etc.)

The box "Applications and study trips" contains application packages (resarch plans, budgets, and recommendation letters) and other material relating to his study trips to Germany, France and Italy.

István György Tóth was a member, and later secretary of the Hungarian 18th Century Association; he was also involved in the work of the International Society of Eighteenth Century Studies as a member, secretary and later Executive Committee member. He also received applications and final reports in his capacity of committee member in OTKA (National Endowment for Scientific Research).

Conference and workshop materials are arranged by their title and year. The places are indicated in the notes field. Besides scientific material, administrative papers, printed matters, as well as his own and other people's speeches are included.
