RFE/RL History Interviews

Almost 100 hours of interviews conducted 1989-1996 with former senior RFE/RL staff, as well as leading intellectuals, dissidents and opposition leaders from Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on the history and perception of RFE/RL broadcasts. Recorded by the Black Box Foundation, highlights include interviews with the former President of the Free Europe Committee, the head of Programs and Policy at RFE, senior Hungarian editors and an engineer who worked at Hungarian Post Office jamming stations.
