Creative Commons Hungary Launch and Party http://creativecommons.hu
Creative Commons Hungary will be launched after the RE:activism conference. At the event Lawrence Lessig, one of the founding fathers of Creative Commons, Dr Gábor Faludi, senior legal counsel of the Collecting Society of Hungarian Musicians, Istv án Rév, director of the OSA Archivum and György Csepeli, political state secretary of the Ministry of Informatics and Communications, will discuss their vision on how technology, copyright legislation and cultural access and preservation interact in a linguistically and culturally secluded environment such as in Hungary.
Creative Commons Launch party: DJ Shuriken (Vályi Gábor) plays a selection from his 60’s 70’s Hungarian dance singles and talks about how harsh copyright restrictions in a small market result in inaccessibility, thus inevitable oblivion of works buried in dusty vaults of record companies.
