OSA is an open access facility committed to making research materials available to everyone, and especially to helping researchers from the former USSR and Central Europe, as well as western researchers working on specific regional topics. OSA archivists help researchers to find out about the availability, scope and content of materials related to their study and to build their research strategies.
OSA Research Room has space for up to 10 researchers, providing them with a comfortable working environment and essential equipment including 2 microfilm/microfiche readers and printers, 2 computers with Internet access, and a video player.
Copying services include photocopying (Xerox), video and audio recording and photographic reproduction. This service is offered at nominal prices since OSA is a non-profit institution.
Requests for materials from the OSA holdings are usually processed within 15 minutes. Essential reference books, and microfilm copies of daily newspapers from the region are permanently available in the Research Room.
