The Audiovisual History of the first 15 Years of the Central European University

The audiovisual history of over 15 years, 1990-2006, of Central European University told through the recorded major events that took place in Budapest such as openings of the academic years and graduation ceremonies, inauguration of new rectors, important lectures and seminars, international conferences, symposiums, and debates. Public lectures were held by many distinguished personalities including Aziz Al-Azmeh, Donald M. Blinken, Leon Botstein, Gerhard Casper, the Dalai Lama, Gábor Demszky, Árpád Göncz, António Guterres, Caroline Hernandez, Michał Kulesza, Ira Lieberman, Aryeh Neier, Paul Ricoeur, George Soros, and Iván Szelényi. A vast collection of audio interviews with rectors, professors and staff will give insight into the ideas, circumstances, plans and dilemmas concerning the foundation and running of the university.
