György Baló was a Hungarian broadcast journalist. Besides his other acknowledged works, his signature weekly news program, Drót (Wire), started in 1994, attempted to provide factual and balanced news reporting (with support from the Soros Foundation). Hundreds of hours of this news program are available for viewing in the Research Room at Blinken OSA, the firs three broadcasts of the program are published on Blinken OSA's Youtube channel as well.
