The Blinken OSA Archives and the Litera portal issued a joint open and restricted literary call in November 2021 titled The Story of My Cowardice. The call is posted on the website of Litera. The deadline for submissions is February 7, 2022, which is approaching fast, but we are happy to announce that quite a few short stories have been submitted already,  which are available on the public Facebook Page titled The story of my cowardice.

The joint call with Litera is part of a larger program series that was launched in the fall of 2021 with the purpose to call attention to the significance of fearless speech, to speak the truth while overcoming our existential fears, and at the same time to call attention to the silence, which we are so reluctant to break.

The first event of the program series was the seminar titled Fearless Speech that was open to all university and college students. The 18th Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival that opened on November 9, 2021, dedicated its Parrhesia: The Moment of Truth section to fearless speech.  In conjunction with the festival, a roundtable discussion was held on November 13, titled The fearless speech: the relationship of the independent media and NGOs. In December 2021 the Blinken OSA Archives and the Freeszfe Foundation together launched the Antigone project for the students of Freeszfe to create theater performances. The two winning plays will be performed in the Gallery of Blinken OSA in the spring of 2022.

The Archives will open its exhibition Fearless on March 16, 2022.
The award ceremony of the joint literary call by Litera.hu and Blinken OSA will also take place at the opening event. We will share further details about the related events soon.
