As part of the annual Central European University summer school, a series of five public film screenings will be held in late June and early July, one of which is taking place at OSA. At each screening, the film's director or producer will be present to discuss the work and take questions.

For the eighth year running, OSA is taking part in the annual Night of the Museums festival in Budapest, on Saturday June 22, 2013. We will be offering guided tours of the archive and our current exhibition, from 5 pm until after midnight. Doors open at 4 pm.

The exhibition "Végképp eltörölni/No more tradition's chains shall bind us..." presents a selection of around 300 posters from the Rákosi and Kádár eras (1949-1989) which served as political propaganda, promoting the public morality of the new Socialist era, the “correct way” to live, or which advertized film premiers and other cultural events.

In June, 2013 OSA signed an agreement with the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE Trust), Warsaw on the acquisition of the Trust’s digital archive after its closure on April 30, 2013.

OSA publishes the unified finding aids of HU OSA 318 Records of the International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights (IHF, 1982-2007), a vast archive documenting the activities of the most prominent human rights organization in implementing the Helsinki Process.
